Tom Tom SD card lost

Tried to switch on TT but found SD card was not where it should be...yes it had slipped out and is now lost. Contacted TT to complain that they should replace foc, as the retention system is inadequate and guess what ...they apologised and then directed me to buy a new SD card and then pay for a new UK map at their site. Anyone have the same problem.
