Clearing a route

Guys how do you clear a route that you havent completed.
Eg you plan a journey with navigator that you dont complete. Then if you leave tomtom on you keep getting directions from the system telling you where to go? Its probably real simple but I cant see how you clear the route. The only way I have ever found it to stop talking to me is when I hear the words 'you have reached your detinatio'. Am I being stooopid?

I don't have my iPAQ with me right now but from memory you need to switch to the Map view using the pulldown menu in the top left corner of the Navigator screen then tap on TOOLS and you should see CLEAR ROUTE in the menu, if not tap and hold on the map and it's in that menu.
