Default SD card & maps

I have the TomTom Navigator for Palm and a Palm Tungsten T3. At present I am using the SD card that came with the TomTom kit. However, I would like to get a larger SD card so that I can install all the maps, plus a whole lot of MP3 music files (the T3 can only play MP3's from an SD card).

Is it possible to do this? Is the TomTom software also installed on the SD card, or is it only the maps? Will the TomTom Navigator still recognise the maps on an SD card that also holds other info, ie. MP3's, movie clips, etc? I want to be able to use the TomTom software without having to remove the SD card each time...

Thanks,

Peter

Yes. If you have a large SD card you can get the TomTom maps on and use the remaining space for whatever you like. I use the Real Player format rather than MP3 because they seem to be smaller for a similar sound quality. I haven't found a way to remove the maps without formatting the card though - does anybody know how?
