Default Tomtom 3 bluetooth and 2210 warning

I purchased the above from www.totalpda.co.uk last week and would warn ayone against buying this setup. The bluetooth fails to synchronise and the Ipaq freezes. Since setting it up last week I have not been able to use it for any trip. IT IS USELESS.

It is being returned to www.totalpda.co.uk today and I have requested a refund or exchange for the Navman ICN630V2 which I can only hope it a better system - or that will be returned too.

I am very dissapointed that totalpada assured me that this was a good reliable system and did not mention any of the problems I have encountered, even though after researching the forum I can see many people have had the same problems. You really should be advising your customers better www.totalpda.co.uk.

To add insult to injury when I called the helpline (after paying £29 extra for the privilige) I was told that due to staff shortages they could not help me. GREAT!!

All in all this has been a great way to waste money. Perhaps I should just go back to good old maps!

Pargy, one of our best sellers is the 2210 and the tom tom system, we sell thousands of these. We do get calls from customers that are having some problems with products, just like every other company we try our best to advise customers about known problems and fixes and try to provide the best support. You will find bugs in all new technology, just like when computers first started there where issues with compatibility and reliability. Even road maps can be out of date, but road maps don’t speak to you and show you exactly where you are. It would be a perfect world if every product made would be 100% reliable.

Known issues with the 2210 where, Bluetooth used to hang a lot when using the IPAQ with any Bluetooth device, HP released a ROM update to solve this problem.

Tom Tom are currently working on a fix to solve the city search bug.

I do apologise for the lack of support that you got that day, we understand that when you called you should have been passed directly through to a technical consultant, we had a couple of members of staff off that day i do apologise for this.

I was not expecting the machine to be 100% glitch free but this setup is next to useless. I was not advised of any known problems at the time of purchasing and paid £29 to have the newest software, maps and service backup. I don't then expect to not be able to use the machine. The technical support was non existant and I was advise to call HP!!!!

If this machine is found to be problem free (which I think it will) then I am not prepared to accept it back as it obviously has inherent problems which will be common to all. I have stated to your customer services that I am only prepared to accept a full refund or a Navman ICN630 v2 if you can assure me that will work.

The equipment was returned today for recorded delivery by tomorrow lunchtime at the latest and I have given customer services until Wednesday lunch time to come up with a solution or I will purchase the Navman elsewhere.

This may seem harsh but I feel let down by www.totalpda.co.uk in what was an expensive purchase.

Just to let everyone know that www.totalpda.co.uk were very good in accepting the goods back for a full refund.

I have purchased a Navman ICN630V2 and for anyone who just wants a pure navigation system without the extra advantages of an Ipaq system this is excellent. I have been having no gps problems and the route guidance is great.
