I am faced with buying TTN6 as my TTN5 does not work on my new TyTnII.
what about ttn7 ? look like this is on the go so do I waste my money now on 6 when 7 is available any day ?

Sadly tomtom are stalling on this in favor of their all-in-one systems which have come with v7 for nearly 6 months!

TT seem to have forgotten who got them where they are now - use PDA/smart device users!

I personally doubt we will see v7 for the pda, whats more theres v8 out or soon will be, but having seen v7 the maps are still not as upto date as the v6 western europe map version 675.1322.

This is because tomtom for two maps went to navteq for some reason, and then went back to teleatlas. The teleatlas map v715 still does not have roads by me that the version 675 does, and i updated it with the map share and it still didnt add them.

I would get a hold of tomtom v6 and the mentioned map and you will actually have better maps than even the newer v7 units.
