Default Advice Please on XL Purchase

Hi a non tech newbie here.
I am looking at buying the latest TT XL but have a dilemma, I want to use it in the UK and also when visit my daughter in the US (not that often)
My dilemma is:-
1.The latest XL UK with easy port doesn’t have an sd card slot and the memory is only 512mb according to TT support. Not enough to put a US map on.
2. The latest XL with European map and easy port again doesn’t have an sd slot but the memory is 1Gb hopefully big enough for the US map. But need to take UK off.
3. Alternatively I could go for one of the new, but older versions of the XL such as the classic, which does have an sd card slot and would allow me to keep the UK map on internal memory and keep the US on sd card. But is the operating system and other features as good as the latest XL e.g. response time, help menu, etc??

Sorry for rambling but would welcome any comments or input from the members

If you can stretch a bit more, newer GO models have UK, EU and US pre loaded

We're going to be getting in some refurbished 920 traffics in the next few weeks.

Its similar to this model

But with US maps as well.

Pricewise I think its going to be about £200 ex vat so its not much more than the XL's you mentioned but it has all the maps you need preloaded, handsfree calling via bluetooth and traffic reports. It also has an FM transmitter so your voice instuctions come through your car stereo.
