Mobile Phone Navigation Symposium:
Wayfinder Systems AB
Thursday, September 23rd 2004, 12.00 pm
The Conference Centre, Church House, Dean’s Yard, Westminster, London, SW1P 3NZ
Mobile navigation is set to skyrocket into UK markets because of its enormous every-day practicality. A mobile phone can now tell you how to find the nearest restaurant, garage, cash machine, hotel or shop. It can show you how to get to your next meeting. It can warn you of imminent speed cameras. It shows you how to get to your destination, as well as give you step-by-step voice directions. All you need to do is tap in a keyword or postcode.
Who should attend: Those who need to learn more about mobile navigation technology for business, leisure and fun.
The theme of the event is
“How to benefit from affordable, reliable and continuously updated navigation information to mobile phones in Europe and the USA today”.
You’ll be able to find out the latest developments in off-board* mobile navigation so that a phone can deliver voice instructions, find over a million addresses and points of interest, as well as deliver real-time traffic and speed camera information across Europe. European street level mapping for Java phones will also be incorporated within our new product range.
The Symposium will discuss the merits of delivering navigation to the mobile phone, cost effectively, with continuous improvements in map data, points of interest and service offerings.
At the symposium, you can discover how mobile navigation works in through the new Wayfinder EuroNavigator TM and Wayfinder EuroGuide TM, outline its service launch in the USA. Wayfinder will also make a number of important partner activity announcements with Nokia, TeleAtlas, Genesis Communications and others in the mobile community.
