Default Problem with IPAQ network adapter settings

Hi, can anyone help?

I seem to have a problem with my WiFi setup. I'm trying to connect to my home wireless network which uses a proxy server so that I can connect to the internet.

My problem is that I can't connect to the internet at all although I DO seem to be connected to my wireless network.

If I click on the Wifi icon at the top of the TODAY screen I see that I am connected to 'WORK'. This is not the SSID name of my wireless network. If I check the settings I am shown as connected to 'Matt' which is the SSID of my wireless network.

If I go into CONNECTIONS and ADVANCED and then click NETWORK CARD the setting marked 'My Network card connects to:' is set to WORK. I want to change it (I think) to 'The Internet' but every time I change the setting and click okay and then check it again it is set back to WORK again. I'm not at WORK!

I'm really confused as to why this is happening.

I use my 4150 at home and have found you need to leave everything set to WORK. Have you assigned the iPAQ an IP address?

No I haven't. Do I need to? How might I go about it?

OK, couple of questions first if you don't mind.

What type of Wifi network do you have?
Do you use static IP addresss or DHCP assigned ones?
Do you have an Access Point or just a Wifi enabled desktop?
