IPAQ 2210 dropping Bluetooth connection

I have an IPAQ 2210 that I have used with my TomTom wired GPS transmitter without problem. I also have a Bluetooth GPS reciever that I have been trying to use but keep having a problem.

I can connect the IPAQ and GPS via Bluetooth without problem but after 2 minutes and 25 secods the connection is lost and I have to re-connect. It then stays for another 2 minutes and 25 seconds before it loses the connection agian and so on.

It make no difference whether I am on mains or battery power - any ideas welcome !
