Bluetooth connection hp114 and Activepilot Hi,
Thanks for reading.
I have hp 114 abd im trying to get it to see the activepilot GPS Reciever. It has seen it and using the wizard has put an icon on the list of devices. But with a large blue ? mark on top of it.
When i try to connect to it it can take 3 hours to do with continually trying. If it does it atall.
The ipaq sees all other devices and i can connect to other devices but not the activepilot.
Anybody got any suggestions of what i can do.

Hi Lads,
Sorry to be a pest but im having great difficulty with the activepilot GPS reciever. It seems to go when it wants to.
I am using it with a hp ipaq 114. On accasions it works fine with tom tom and then the ipaq cant not see it.
When i use the bloothooth wizard it does not see it but will see other devices.
When It has seen it and the icom shows a red tick along side it. It also show a large blue question mark on top of it.
I have deleted it twice now and tried to get a connection on the wizard with no luck.
When it working in tom tom it is configered as a other NMEA GPS , Boud rate 4800 using com port 6.
As I say it has worked but yest again stopped.

We would suggest increasing the baud to the highest you can select as it will offer better performance.
When adding the device in Bluetooth we would also suggest ensuring you have soft reset your PDA before discovering the receiver.

Sorry Still no go and have tried all your suggestions. I have managed to connect to other Bluetooth with the wizard on the ipaq but it will not connect to the activepilot. Its so frustrating as it has been working. I have reset the ipaq to the factory setting twice. Reloaded tom tom twice.
Any more suggestion would be grateful else it's going in the bin. Why did I get rid of the ipaq 220 and the fortuna gps receiver it never let me down in 5 years.
Thanks |
