Default Ipaq 2210 wifi problems

Ive just bought a network card for my hp upaq 2210, and a usb wifi dongle for my pc. Ive installed both bits of software fine and my pda seems to find the pc usb dongle as well and the top of the screen has the two passing arrows to show its connected, yet i cannot access the pc in any way or form, i cant access the internet or activesync wirelessly, and ive followed EVERY guide going.

Ive given both devices unique ip addresses yet still i cant connect to the internet on my pda or anything.

One last thing, on my pc the connection shows its sending data but doesnt even recieve 1 byte of data, so i dont know whats going on.

Please help me as its really getting to me right now why it wont work.

Welcome to our forums.
It probably isn't working because of something very simple. Which guides have you followed? iI used the guide @ http://wifi.aximsite.com/wifi_net.html and had no problems at all.

Yeah ive followed that guide but with no luck. I even went onto HP's chat program and spent two hours on there (they type slowly) and they was going through it all without success. They was about to tell me how to add a proxy connection but i needed to be up early for work. One thing i do notice is that my usb dongle doesnt recieve any packets, yet is always sending them. Im using windows xp to if thats any help.

Not much help I'm afraid (me that is). There are so many things that could cause it. You really need a way of checking that the Wifi on both devices is working. Do you know anyone with WIFI laptop or PDA?

not at all. I think i might just take the usb dongle back as for what ever reason its not reciving anything. You'd think when my pda connects to it that it'd recieve at least one bit of information or something. Im gona try a bit more with hp's chat center though. I dont think its the wifi card on my pda, as thats able to find and connect to networks, but i really dont know whats wrong, as theres only so many options you can do on the actual pda.

Really really stumped.

To be honest I'd recomment a proper Wifi card for your PC. Does the job for me anyway
