connecting 4155 to laptop wlan and net

I have a 4155 and a IBM R51 laptop. In the laptop is a ethernet card and a Wlan. I have tried alsorts of ways to get them to talk so i can use the net but to no avail. Can anyone help??

Do i need to get the 2 cards in the laptop to talk to each other so the Wlan card can send the information to the PDA?

Check the laptops settings that it's available to connect any available network and not just Access Points. Check out http://wifi.aximsite.com/wifi_net.html for some further info.
