Question CF wifi card for ppc 2003

Hi
Do you know of any CF WiFi cards that work on an IPAQ 2210. It seems all the ones I can find are either ppc 2002 or ce 3.0. There must be some ppc 2003 ones out there by now.
Thanks

Try these -

http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?a...GrpID=&cks=ACC - £39

http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?a...GrpID=&cks=ALT - £64

Neither say specifically if they work with PPC2003 though - manufacturer sites imply that they do.

This one - http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=36&prid=434 currently has a beta driver to support PPC2003 - according to their tech support an official release driver is on its way.

This one does definitely does support PPC2003 - £58
http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?quicklinx=1Z0X

So does this one - £77

What do you think of your 2210? - I'm thinking of getting one.

James,
Thanks for that information - I also found one ( by socket ) on Ebay by chance. might go for that if the price stays low

I like the 2210 - I bought it principally to use with the TomTom2 navigation software - great combination - but like all MS windows OS products it's prone to need resetting at regular intervals, which is mildly annoying ( but doesn't loose data ). The activesync does work well though.

Hi James

Your ref http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?a...GrpID=&cks=ACC

This is very cheap - now £19.00 but is only PC2003

From other formums the likely cf wifi cards are Seano or Socket - but they are expensive. I bought a Buffalo card a there was no warning that it doesn't use PC2003. It doesn't and Buffalo have no drivers available.

I bought a 2210 from Total about 3 weeks ago. At first I was very impressed. Not so now that the rubber sides have fallen off after one week. Seems from various forums to be the biggest but only gripe.

goto

http://www.asus.com.tw/support/downl...delName=WL-110

then download WinCE40_3040.zip , install this program then plug in your Buffalo Wi Fi card.

The message "Unrecognized or somting card windows" will come up so type PRISMNDS on the box.
Hope this helps.

Ipaq2215,

Many thanks for the info. I followed your advice and my previously non-working Buffalo card now works and my 2210 has a wireless connection at last!

Thanks again.
