Default Ipaq 5555, Nokia 6610 and 02

I've just bought an Ipaq 5555 and want to connect it to the web using GPRS using my Nokia 6610 via IR.

I have read the Nokia guide (which only shows PPC2002) and have followed the instructions as best I can - not all the options for 2002 and 2003 are the same - though I think I've got most. I can get the Ipaq and 6610 to connect (pair) until the phone says it is Cr****** GPRS connection'. The Ipaq shows 'connecting to 6610' and using 'generic ir' as it should. The phone then drops out saying that the connection is not supported. Normal GPRS on the phone works fine.

I'm on 02 Pay and Go (Original) and have free GPRS so want to get it working.

Has anyone had any success connecting their Ipaq 5555 to the web using IR?

Thanks
James

jamessampson,

I'm pretty sure that you can connect to the internet via IR with the IPAQ 5555, however i have heard that there is an IR-modem hack somewhere posted on the net, if you are handy with electronics.
