Question Rikaline x-7 Bluetooth GPS

I have just purchased a Rikaline x-7 Bluetooth GPS which I cannot get to pair with my iPAQ 4350 or other Bluetooth devices. I press the button to activate the discovery process, the BT light flash for approx 1 min and during that time none of my other device are able to see or pair. Any ideas??

Thanks

John

I have the same problem and I'm really mad - using a HP IPAQ 2210 and it can't see the gps receiver.

The XDA 2 you need to download a couple of files in order to let it pair, we did have the files on the web site, the link is broken atm, i will try and get them put back on. Keep your eye on http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Navman-4410-+-XDA-II-Bluetooth-Package-(Unlockd).aspx

2210 i cant see why you would have a problem, when you go to bluetooth and search for a device, do you even see the reciever?

i don't see anything - it just searches and comes back showing a previous device I paired with - an e200.

Am I missing something?

Sounds like the reciever could be faulty if its powered on and bluetooth is on both devices, so you can detect and connect to other devices on the IPAQ? is so it deffo sounds like somthing with the reciever.

All sorted - I had to hold down the button for 10 seconds and the bt light stays on constantly - it was then picked up by the 2210. Only problem now is that Tomtom 3 keeps hanging every 8-10 minutes when in navigator mode.

Not having much luck so far ;-(

Tomtom have now posted the 'fix' for the 2210 - which appears to do anything but 'fix' the problem! It still hangs every 8-10 minutes but instead of crashing completely it takes you to the bluetooth screen to select your gps device from the list. After re-selecting the device it then comes up with loads of different errors.

After reading a number of threads, I now suspect the problem could be with the Rikaline 6031-x7. Is anyone else using a 2210 and Rikaline x7 which actually works?

Question

Hi Steven,
I have a rikaline 6031-X7 and a XDA2 (ROM-Version 1.72 german); paring is not a problem; but the xda2 with navigation software "navigator 3.0" receives no data; only outside buildings the satellites are reported; but not the geographic location.
Do you have any idea?
Thank's
Dieter
