Unhappy XDA 2 and Wifi sd Card

Hi, I was wondering if you might be able to help because I'm stumped!! I'm also a novice at this stuff, so any advice where you might think you don't need to walk me through (very slowly) - please reconsider.

I have BT broadband, and I've purchased an XDA 2, Sandisk SD Wi-Fi card, Netgear ethernet wireless modem/router/firewall/access point all-in-one device...

So far, I've set up the modem so it's configured to 'open', broadcasting SSID, no WEP key enabled, and only limiting access by MAC (which the modem recognised itself from the XDA 2 with SD card plugged in).

In terms of the XDA 2, it's running on Pocket PC 2003 and all I've done is insert the card, made sure in "connections" that programs should connect to the internet using "my work network" (with the box ticked in Proxy settings which says "this network connects to the internet"). Also, in terms of "Network Card", I've specified the IP address of the modem/router as well as the subnet mask. The Pocket PC recognises the name of my SSID automatically, but doesn't seem to connect. Do I need to enter a default gateway address of some sort in the "Network Card" settings as well as DNS?? My modem has DHCP enabled.

In the SD card 'status' display, it doesn't seem to fix on the channel the modem is broadcasting on, and doesn't fix on the LAN IP address. Connection is stated as 0%.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks

Sav
