Question Palm TX won't talk to PalmOne GPS Receiver

I've just received my new Palm TX which came bundled with Tomtom 5 and a PlamOne GPS receiver. My problem is that I can't get the TX to recognise the receiver as a trusted device. The PalmOne GPS is listed as a known device but when I select it an error message comes back with Unable to connect to palmOne GPS. The information hints that the GPS unit might not be set to allow a connection but I have no idea how I would go about changing that setting. Any help would be gratefully received!

Hi i think i spoke to you earlier and got your GPS connected, you need to leave the GPS in line of sight for up to 45 mins the first time you use it.

Hi - it wasn't me you spoke to. I'll try leaving the GPS on for an hour or so - at the moment the orange light is blinking (position found) and the blue light is blinking slowly (normal standby mode). So hopefully my palm will "see" the GPS receiver later on this evening.... will let you know how I get on! Thanks

After leaving the GPS running for several hours my PDA still can't see the bluetooth device. How do I get my Palm to pair up with the receiver as a trusted device???? Is it possible that the Palm TX is faulty? Please, someone, help!

Have you charged both devices fully? When you are searching for trusted devices what does it say at the top of the page where the pull-down menu is?

It's sorted - just a soft reset required and it found the GPS receiver! No idea why I hadn't thought of that before, but hopefully I'll remember in future. Thanks to the www.totalpda.co.uk Tech Support guy who suggested it.
