ActiveSync via 802.11

Okay, here is my situation:
PC: HP Pavillion zd7000 with 802.11, running XP SP2, ActiveSync 3.7
PPC: HP iPaq 4700
Belkin wireless router fed by cable modem for internet.

I can do all of the following:
1. ActiveSync using USB (Yea, I know big woo).
2. Browse internet wirelessly on laptop.
3. Browse internet wirelessly on PPC

What I can't seem to do (even working through the "how-to's") is to get ActiveSync to work wirelessly.

It appears to me that both PC and PPC are linking directly to the router. I would like to have the PPC talk directly to the PC so that I can sync that way on the road and carry one less cable.

I would appreciate your help.

You would need to acivate routing on the Belkin.

You'll then need to set up either allow all IPs to connect to each other, or (if like my 3com) set this by IP address.

You should be able to find a good step by step guide on Belkin's site.
