Default Bluetooth connection to Nokia car kit

Using the phone function on my HP 6915 connected handsfree to my Nokia ck-7w car kit the person I am talking to hears their own words repeated back to them. My words are completely clear.

I have tried everything, volume controls on both devices etc.

Has anybody had similar problems and how did you fix it?

How far apart are the speaker and mic?

Normally it's down to this, and also how loud you have the kit as to how much feedback you get. Depending on the vehicle (each having differing accousitcs) you'll need to experiment with volume and mic/speaker placement or ask a qualified installer as to where they recommend these are installed.

I had similar issues when I moved my CK7W between vehicles, and eventually found perfect mic placement (sound is routed to car speakers).
