Default Mio P350 Bluetooth connection

Hi there,

I have a Mio P350 .. which I beleive has bluetooth capabilities, and I want to send some pics from my mobile phone via its bluetooth connection.

Being a complete techo-phobe ... how do I do this when I go into the bluetooth icon on my Mio P350, it says I have no Bluetooth devices connected ??? am I supposed to plug some sort of hardware into my P350 before I can link with my phone ???

any help would be gratefully received, before I give up, and buy a cable !!!!

Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile, and make it visible/searchable to other devices.

On your PDA, find the file, and tap and hold the file until you get a mini menu appear. Select Send> and in the options bluetooth should be something like other or search. Your PDA should see the phone and ask for a code, enter 0000. At the same time your phone should show a message "receive file from..... ?" Select yes.

Thanks for the advice, but I just cant get the Mio P350 to switch bluetooth on .... as soon as I enter the bluetooth area, I get an error message, saying no bluetooth hardware is installed on this device ....!

Has anyone with a Mio P350 ever got this work, ...? am I missing some software to make it run ? I have checked all the CD's which come with it and theres nothing in the user manual regarding getting the bluetooth functions to work ... HELP, Please

Sounds like you have a fault with your device, as the Bluettoth is built into the main board of the device, along with the firmware (drivers) to run it.

Hi, new member here, I came here looking for info about the GPS on my new Mio P350 (found it too, thanks for the help folks!) and saw this thread. I was dissapointed to read in the pdf. specs that the 350 doesn't have Bluetooth, nor does it do wireless. Shame but there you have it. Only way I can see you getting online with it is to link to a modem or directly to an intranet?

You'd need to buy an SDIO card for BT or wifi.

Hi there,

I can fully recommend the Spectec WLAN-11b/g SDIO WLAN Card these are readily available on ebay and I paid about £18 all in for mine .... Money well speant and I have had no problems at all with it.

Excellent piece of kit !!!

Enjoy your P350, if you havent already done so read the articles on power saving by disabling the active sync task by setting up a dummy network thingy. Works really well I can use my P350 now when I need it, leave it for a week and come back to it and it's still got pleanty of life in it !!!!

See ya online sometime !

Thanks for the info, I found a previous thread where you mentioned an SDIO card so I had a quick look on Ebay. Found a Spectec one but missed out on the auction so in an act of impatience I ordered an The Ambeon Wireless SD Card, which I'm hoping is the same thing.

Tried the TomTom software out yesterday and it worked well, apart from not knowing where a few One Way roads had been put in. Even then it quickly figured an alternative route out for me.

B.
