Default Xda 11s pda

Hi,
I have an Xda 11s which I am trying to connect up wirelessly to my Orange Livebox.
It recognises it under the WLAN section but will not connect to it. I try to go online or use messenger but it says that no modem is available etc.
Help please. This is driving me mad.
Thanks

Try waiting more than a few hours for a response?

Fair comment. Apologies.
I have followed the instructions on the link but still no connection. My Xda 11s says that my Livebox is available, but still will not connect.
The link suggests that I open up some ports. Do you know how that is done, please?
I will wait for the reply.....
Thanks

LOL, no worries.

Normally you shouldn't need to open any ports.

Few things to check. Check that MAC filtering isn't enabled. if it is, then you need to add the MAC of your PDA to the 'allowed' list.

The other thing is that any encryption password is entered correctly - again if used. Firstly select the method used (WEP/WPA). The password will be in hex, even if you typed a word/phrase into the router. Get this from your routers security section. Enter this on your device, noting to remove any . or - and that SOME routers see A1 and a1 differently, so try caps and non caps. So your code entered into the device would be in the format A1B2C3 etc etc

If you are sure it's connecting to the router, then this can be confirmed from the security section, where you sould be able to see all MAC clients connected - and as such your device's assigned IP, MAC and/or device name. IE John's PDA.

Hi,
Sorry its been a while.
How or where do I check to see if MAC filtering is enabled or not? Is it on the pda or the Livebox?
Thanks

On the Livebox there should be router software to change the setup.
