Activesync Wireless 802.11b Communication Error

I am new to the word of PDA wifi so please bear with me.

I have just bought a NAVMAN PIN 570 GPS /PDA. I have been using active sync with no problems whatsoever until tonight, I installed an 802.11b wireless card and hooked up on the internet with my router, excellent I thought, until when I tried to connect using active sync via usb I received a communication error

'Cannot start communications with the desktop computer. Remote Networking could not start due to a critical error (Error 608), please reconnect your device. If the problem persists restart your device, using the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

I know for a fact this has to do with the wireless card however,I cannot seem to find any answers to rectify this problem that is why I am turning to the professionals. If anyone could help me I would be most grateful.
